Laura Boone

Laura Boone wrote Blue in the middle of her own storm.

She didn't set out to write a book. She set out to make sense of something she couldn't quite name — the particular ache of knowing you need to move but not being able to make yourself leap. Blue came out of that place. Which is probably why it feels the way it does.

Laura has spent her career inside the spaces where change happens — classrooms, boardrooms, schools navigating impossible decisions, and individuals standing at crossroads they didn't choose. She's been a teacher, an instructional coach, a technology leader in education, and a consultant working with organizations and individuals navigating high-stakes change. She holds an MBA and a Master's in Education Administration.

But none of that is why she wrote Blue.

She wrote Blue because she needed it. Because she was the frog, tucked under a leaf in the storm, trying every wrong solution before finding her way. Because she knows what it feels like to be in the middle of something with no map and no guarantee.

Blue is still a little ahead of her. And she thinks that's exactly the point.

Laura lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She gives out small plastic frogs. She means it every time.
